Since Community Housing Partnership‘s inception over 20 years ago, employment training and job placement programs have been central to its efforts to reduce homelessness. Building off of these efforts, in 2006 CHP teamed up with REDF (a venture philanthropy organization) to design and launch a social enterprise dedicated to workforce development and job opportunities for graduates of our training programs.
Solutions SF (formerly known as CHP Enterprises), was launched in 2007, providing effective maintenance and staffing services for property owners and managers. Many of the employees have previously been homeless and are trained and evaluated through CHP programming. In addition to recruiting and training employees, CHP provides ongoing support as they transition back into the workplace and continue their success. Solutions SF’s service offerings include: outsourced lobby staffing solutions, maintenance solutions and bed bug remediation solutions. To date, Solutions SF has created employment for well over 100 individuals.
