Michael Savage heads EDAC’s rural division and specializes in working with local agencies and community groups in analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of their programs and assisting with strategy development. Mr. Savage was the long-time Deputy and Acting Director of the Office of Economic Development at HUD. Mr. Savage ran the Youthbuild Program for many years and developed and was responsible for implementation of the Rural Housing and Economic Development Program. He holds an M.A. and a B.A. in Public Administration from the University of California, Berkeley and received an NIPA fellowship for Advanced Graduate Study at the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University.
