Midtown Global Market- connecting farmers, farmers markets, organizations and consumers who need the healthy food in the Minneapolis metropolitan area.
Housed in the former Sears building in South Minneapolis, Midtown Global Market(MGM) is a multi-ethnic, year round, public market place with over 40 small businesses featuring fresh fruits and vegetables, specialty groceries, and prepared foods. MGM also features a kitchen facility to allow farmers and neighborhood producers to create value-added products for sale in the market. To date MGM has created over 200 jobs and attracts more than 1.2 million visitors annually and is a thriving part of the larger Midtown Exchange mixed-use development project .
This business incubator was developed, in part, by Neighborhood Development Center (NDC) which continues to offer programs and services to building tenants including:
