The Environmental Services Board of Hennepin County, Minnesota announced its renewed partnership with PPL Industries’ Second Chance Mattress Recycling program. The board issued a press release in October of 2012:
October 17, 2012 — The board has renewed a partnership with Project for Pride in Living Enterprises, Inc. (PPL), including up to $250,000 in funding, to support the expansion of their mattress recycling program. In addition to diverting waste, the agreement provides for training and employment for people who might otherwise be unemployed or underemployed.
